Jains believe in the peaceful co-existence of all living beings. Jainism teaches reverence for all forms of life. Jains believe all life is sacred, and that every living being has a unique place in the universe and has a right to exist.
The Jain community has made an important contribution to the art and architecture of India. The Jains have built beautiful temples on hilltops and secluded valleys in India. Jain temples have also been built in North America, Europe, the Far East, and Africa. Jain temples have also been built in several metropolitan cities in the United States.
